हरियाणा के भिवानी की रहने वाली 19 वर्षीय लड़की मनीषा जो 11 अगस्त 2025 को खरखरी रोड स्थित अपने नर्सिंग कॉलेज जाती है, काफी समय बाद उसके माता-पिता ने उसे ढूंढने की कोशिश की, उसके बाद मनीषा के पिrता ने पुलिस को सूचना दी, पुलिस ने कहा कि शायद वह किसी लड़के के साथ प्यार में भाग गई होगी, बाद में मनीषा के पिता ने प्रशासन से उसे ढूंढने की अपील की, 2 दिन बाद गांव के पास एक शव मिला, जो मनीषा का ही था, उसके शरीर पर जख्म के निशान थे और उसका चेहरा तेजाब से जला हुआ था और शरीर के अंग निकाले गए थे, उसके शव को पोस्टमार्टम के बाद बताया गया कि मनीषा ने आत्महत्या की है और फिर शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया। गांव वालों और परिजनों ने यह कहते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन शुरू कर दिया कि उसके साथ बलात्कार हत्या की गई
